My Teaching Mission Statement

It is my mission to assist each student in developing to his/her fullest potential an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts as well as an understanding of self and other so that he/she may become a productive, responsible, and self-fulfilled individual.

I will provide many opportunities for students to become more confident in and develop their own artistic ability; therefore, fostering a positive self-image, and a sense of self-worth, self-acceptance, and self-direction. I will also provide many opportunities for students to respond to art so that by expressing themselves and sharing different points of view, they will learn respect, compassion, and tolerance.
